LYRICS TRAINING
Lyrics Training is an easy and fun method to learn and improve your foreign languages skills like English through the music and lyrics of the songs. You just need to register with an email account. Once you're registered, choose a video and beginner game mode. The video will stop after each verse so that you can write the missing words.
You can always listen to the line again by pressing backspace key.
If you don't understand a word, press tab key to jump to the next.
If it is too difficult, you can click on translate at the bottom of the video and after choosing Spanish you'll be able to see the lyrics in Spanish, which will be of great help.
Have a good time!!!
Try this at home if the school widthband is not quick enough.

THEATRE IN ENGLISH FOR 3rd & 4th ESO
During the first term, 1st Cycle students went to the theatre to watch "Drockula", a play in English. During the second term, Bachillerato students went to the same theatre and enjoyed "A Midnight Summer Dream". Now it is 2nd Cycle students' turn to watch a play in English. On Friday 23rd at Margarita Buron Theatre you will be watching "Pop Dreams with Romeo and Juliet" , a musical play about two high school students who have to perform another play. I'm sure you all want to know more about the plot. For this reason you have to read the plot synopsis and answer the following questions before Friday 23rd. It will also help you understand the play better.

ENGLISH CENTRAL
Welcome back after the Easter break to practise your listening and speaking skills. This time we are going to use English Central.
First of all you'll need to register with your nickname (use your whole name as nickname), mail account and password. Now you are part of my group of students. Go to Videos and click on Ana Mendez (Galileo Galilei) Channel.
Choose at least three videos in my channel of your interest and record your voice to obtain the highest number of points over this week. To start with, your challenge for this week is 2,400 points.
Instructions:
To do it properly, the best way is:
1.- Try watching all the video hiding the subtitles. If it is too difficult, you can make use of the subtitles the second time you watch it.
2.- Click on "Pause video after each line", play the line as many times as you want (you can even hear the line slowed down) and then click on the red "record" button to record your voice.
3.- When you have finished, click on stop and see the result. If the words are yellow, it means you didn't pronounce them properly. If you click on the yellow word, you will listen how it should be pronounced and how you did it.
For the moment, use practise mode and not quiz mode, which is a bit more difficult.

3RD TERM VOLUNTARY READERS
During the final term you may all read a voluntary book which will help you improve your marks. You just need to choose a book according to your level and show it to your teacher. If I agree with your choice, after reading it you will have to complete the book review sheet and upload it into the correspondent page in the wiki together with a picture of the cover of your book.
Or if you prefer and following Teacher Diana's idea you can read several news articles at Google News and make a short article of each one of them. You will find all the instructions in the following wiki page.
The due date for either task is April 30th.
Don't miss the chance to get higher marks. Remember this is the final term!!!!
